Candidate Rap Sheets
Check here frequently as Rap Sheet development continues. The Rap Sheets contain an increasing amount of information, links, recommendations and commentary on each candidate to help you make better informed decisions for the Feb. 2nd, 2010 primary election as well as the Nov. 2nd, 2010 general election. Analysis on the Governor and Lt. Governor candidates will be completed before the Primary election Feb. 2nd.

Integrity, a desire for Justice, Servant Leadership and a strong commitment to fight against the culture of corruption to achieve real change must be the foundation of new leadership in Illinois. Without these attributes in a candidate there is NO reason citizens should trust anything else they say no matter how many big promises they make.

We should question the value of supporting those candidates who are political party operatives including members of the failed and corrupt state legislature. They have had opportunities to fight tooth and nail for real change in their current elected positions without success, its time to support those candidates outside the political cesspool in Illinois.
Candidate Grading

Candidate Questionnaire provided to Gov and Lt. Governor Candidates

NOTE: Reclaim Illinois is non-partisan and will be providing information on ALL candidates in play for the general election in November including Green, Constitutional, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian and Independent party candidates with the goal of electing the BEST candidate regardless of party. However, the key focus now is on the primary Feb 2nd and making sure that we end up with the best possible republican and democrat candidates.

Statewide Executive Candidates List for the Primary 2/2/2010 from the Board of Elections

Feb. 2nd, 2010 Primary Election
Candidates for Governor
Pat Quinn, Current Governor
While Mr. Quinn seems to be a friend to veterans, he falls far short in critical areas including not fumigating Blagojevich leftovers who shortchanged veterans. Mr. Quinn had his chance to show himself as the type of strong reform minded servant leader Illinois needs NOW by being decisive and doing the right thing for the citizens of Illinois and yet has blown it through his lack of meaningful action...

Candidates for Lieutenant Governor
Look for the candidate who wants to push the limits of the office and who seeks to make sustained extra effort. We need a leader with initiative who can assume the office of Governor if need be. With drive and determination the person elected to the office of Lt. Gov has a golden opportunity to use the office to forward efforts toward measurable government reform and should have specific stances on the subject. They will be in a position to lobby the Governor for justice on behalf of the people of Illinois. They will be in a position to bug, hound and call out the Governor should he or those under him take the path of corruption. We need a watch dog!!

New Democrat Lt. Governor Nominee to be named by Democrat Central Committee. It could be one of the other democrat candidates or someone entirely new. Another opportunity for Mike Madigan, head of the Central Committee to take control spells bad news for Illinois. We need a reformer!!! A servant leader!!!

For Statewide Races pay special attention to question #6:
A ''Culture of Corruption'' is how the University of Illinois' Institute of Government and Public Affairs characterizes the national perception of Illinois government. If elected what contribution would you make toward beginning to change this perception?:

A general/vague answer on this question is an indication that the candidate is WEAK and inappropriate for leadership in Illinois. If a leader doesn't have specific plans to fight the culture of corruption thus leaving the tainted in control how can we expect that this leader will somehow miraculously achieve real success elsewhere.
